It’s completely free! We all love football as much as you do, and taking part in the greatest sport every week with other devoted players is reason enough for us to host these weekly games. At times we may promote certain products like team jerseys you can order to personalize your experience, but, other than that, completely free. This aligns with our goal to maintain a fun and accessible experience for our community and offer a cost-free option to get active.
Anyone 18 years old and up with a friendly spirit and love for football. All levels of players are welcome to join and we will do our best to balance teams for a fair and competitive game. Players should be respectful of others and consider the different skill levels as an aspect of the game to overcome through collaboration and strategy. If you intend to play, please review our Player Code of Conduct to acknowledge how we must all act to create a great experience.
We understand that everyone’s availability is different, and it might be difficult to commit to a weekly game. The beauty of OFL is that our game can be modified depending on the number of players available every week. So, if you can’t make it to every session, don’t stress it. Just join us any week you can, we will be happy to have you on our teams. The game time can run up to 2 hours every Saturday morning. That’s the extent of the time commitment we ask you honor. It helps to keep the game balanced and fair when all players stay the whole game.
Participation is managed through a club app called Reclub. You can register as a member on the app to RSVP for our events, or contact our league commissioner, Edson Reyes, to inquire about joining an event. Please only RSVP if you are certain you can play the entirety of a game. We want to make sure players have even teams the whole game. Not showing up or leaving early can create an imbalance and complicate the game.
Our league is a two-hand touch league with some contact elements. There is an offensive line one the game reaches 7v7 and up. But the rules we implement help to protect players. There is no tackling or diving at players to push them to the ground. Once a player has been tagged with two palms, and the defender yells “Down!”, the play is over. You can read more about our modified rules in the OFL Rulebook.
The OFL commissioner has all the field equipment to set up the game. This includes a boundary line for the field, cones to mark downs, pylons, scrimmage vests, a spot marker, and a game ball. We always recommend our players bring water, cleats, and comfortable athletic wear.
